Diverse, Multi-Day Tuscany Tour (no car?)

Hello - thanks in advance to any advice.

My wife and I are hoping to experience a bit of Tuscany in between Florence and Rome. We have roughly 5 days between the two cities and are hoping to have a diverse Tuscany experience without staying in one city the whole time and without renting a car. We don't want to deal with the hassle of renting a car and driving in a foreign country.

Does anyone know any multi-day tours that explore different areas of Tuscany? Or does anyone have any recommendations for how to make this possible without a tour? I thought maybe doing Siena and Orvieto as those are more connected to public transit?

We definitely want to do a Chianti wine tour but are open to other cities/experiences.

Thank you!

We just got back from a month in Italy and did it without a car! Siena is an easy day trip to do on your own by bus from Florence. We actually spent a couple of nights in Orvieto before returning to Rome. We loved Orvieto! However, the highlight of our trip was a day tour with Tours by Roberto (mentioned in RS guide) . Joinable tours are limited to 8 people so it is an intimate experience. We did the clay hills tour and went to places we couldn't have gone to without a car. We visited an Abbey, a medieval village, and ended at a winery in Montalcino where we experienced a homemade Italian lunch complete with Brunello wine. Our wonderful guide Marco picked us up at our Florence hotel and returned us there at the end of the day. They also have a Chianti wine tour among others. Roberto also can customize a tour for you but the most economical are the joinable tours. I am sure there are other tours but we really loved the small group, lunch with an Italian family, and our knowledgeable guide. Have fun and let us all know what you end up doing.

It is any different than driving in Italy than USA except for inside cities with their ZTL zones. No hassles renting either.
