Discount on EC Train between Italy and Switzerland?

Hello, next month I will be taking the EC train (EC 50) from Milano Centrale (Milan, Italy) to Spiez, Switzerland and then a few days later from Spiez back to Milano Centrale (EC 53). Can anyone confirm if I would be able to get a discount on these tickets with the Swiss Travel Pass? If not, are there discounts available for these 2 routes?

Yes, you get a discount.
Go to ww.sbb.ch/en pick your outbound train. Then proceed to ticketing and then check "return ticket", then choose your return date and time. Then click on Switzerland discount box and choose "GA 2nd cl" proceed and you will get a price of 52 CHF for a round trip ticket with a Swiss Travel Pass. Normal refundable ticket price is 144 CHF.

I don't know your answer about the Swiss Travel Pass. I do see that there are advance purchase discount options on the Trenitalia Website for "Smart" and "Smart2" fares that are as much as 50% off the base fare.

Hi Sam, thank you for your reply. I went through the steps on SBB and clicked on Switzerland discount box and choose "GA 2nd cl". Do you know at what point in the checkout process that I would enter my Swiss Travel Pass? So far, I am at the page where I can enter the type of Credit Card that I would use. I did see a field called, "E-Voucher" but wasn't sure if that is where I enter the Swiss Travel Pass.

You do not need to enter your Swiss Pass for the ticket purchase, or even have one at the time you purchase the tix. You just need to show it to the conductor when he or she checks your tickets.

An e-voucher is something entirely different.
