My family and I are headed to Italy this week to meet up with a RS Heart Of Italy tour next Sunday. We wind up in Firenze and have an extra day there, Monday May 27. My adult nephew has found the Fattoria di Pietrabuono disc golf course and would like to play there on that day. He has been in e-mail contact with them and altho it is a private course they will allow him to play. (Yes, he is taking 2 discs with him!) We are looking at options to get him there and I had difficulty on the TrenItalia site, even putting in options for all trains got me nothing. I did find on the Bahn.de site there are frequent trains from Firenze SNM to Pescia (Pistoia) that take about an hour, same on the return later in the afternoon. I just wondered what I was doing wrong on the TrenItalia site to not even get a train and also wondered if we can also just assume there would be a taxi at the station for him to catch to the course. He has emailed his contact person regarding directions, but I wanted to also check info with you guys. (Also debated about posting in the Transportation vs To the Boot and well, went with To the Boot.) We can of course also check with our guide when we meet up with the group. Does anyone have a recommendation or is there a flaw my inexperience has overlooked? Thanks!
