Hi, I will be driving my second day in Italy from FCO to Salerno and would like good directions. I am driving because we need to go to Barisciano after our stay in AC and then back to Rome for flight to Venice( hence getting car at FCO). Thank you for your help.

Maybe it is obvious, but Google Maps has pretty good directions.

I would not drive in Italy without good GPS. Best would be your own Garmin or TomTom, but at least a smartphone with navigation. Do you have a passenger to help? Otherwise, print out Google Maps directions and study them in advance so you are not distracted.

A91 to the GRA to A1 to the A30 just north of Naples to bypass it to the A2 straight into Salerno.
Have cash ready for the tolls and remember TUTOR.
If you don't already have your flight from FCO to Venice, you may be helped to know that trains go direct from Salerno to Venice.

Have you considered taking a fast train from Termini to Salerno and renting a car there? Do you need (want) a car for the AC?

Thanks . Already have car reserved as my friend {who wanted to drive] will be helping. I appreciate the advice and have found good directions. Wish me luck ! LOL
