Direct US flight to Naples Italy?

Hello, all. Can anyone tell me of a direct flight to Naples from the US? I have spent quite a bit of time looking on Google flights and also Air Italy ( used to be Meridiana Air), and I’m not having much luck. Hoping there is a travel guru here that can tell me. Thank you.

You can't find it because it does not exist. It is only a bit more than 1 hour from Rome on a high speed train.

Ahh! No wonder. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I did not realize there was now a high-speed train. I have read many older posts about the challenges of taking the regional train from Rome to Naples —not that they cannot be overcome but somewhat of a hassle. Do I book tickets on Trenitalia, and are discounted tickets available if I purchase 120 days in advance? Thank you!

The danger of pre-purchase of discounted high speed train tickets is you are locked into a specific time. If your flight is delayed or immigration processing is gummed up and you miss the train, you have to buy a new train ticket.

Be careful

It is only 46 EUR for a 2nd class ticket from Roma Termini to Napoli Centrale, The lowest SuperEconomy tickets 3 months out I see are 16.90 EUR. So is saving 29 EUR enough to take the worry that you might have to lose that if you miss your train due to a flight delay.

There are no direct flights to NAP from the US, but there are flights from European hubs to NAP, therefore if could fly to NAP via Munich and Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Via Paris CDG (AirFrance), London Gatwick (British Airways), Madrid (Iberia), Dublin (AirLingus), Zurich (Swiss).

For what it's worth, we've flown out of Naples Capodichino twice in the past 3 years, both times via Lufthansa to Munich. Both occasions on time, short lines even in the middle of the day. I'd take it over Rome Fiumicino any day of the week.
