Dinner near Sorrento Marina Piccolo upon return from Capri day trip

Staying in Sorrento at LaTonnerella up on Via Capo. Planning ferry trip to Capri , would like to make dinner reservations upon return in Marina Piccolo or Marina Grande . Is it easy to get between the two ? Would it be difficult to get from ferry terminal to Marina Grande? Any restaurant recommendations?

It's a 30 minute walk from your hotel to the Sorrento ferry port at Marina Piccola. The easiest walk would be to walk from your hotel to the elevator at Villa Comunale di Sorrento Park, pay the minimal fee to go down and there walk to Marina Piccolo to the Sorrento Ferry Port. There is one restaurant that is at the port called Antonio Esposito Ristorante e Pizzeria. Didn't eat here but you'll see it on you walk back the port.
On your walk back to your hotel, you could take the elevator back up (minimal fee but more than going down) and I would walk on the pedestrian street Corso Italia. There are lots of shops and food places. But the place I recommend is O'Parruchiano La Favorite. You will definitely need reservations. It's always booked.

It's decently priced, on the higher end, but a nice experience, so not sure what you are looking for?

It's a 20 minute walk from Marina Piccolo, using the elevator, to Marina Grande.
Near marina Grande, we liked the Ristorante Bagni Delfino. good view and location, but on the expensive side.

I would return to Sorrento just to have a meal at Bagni Delfino on Marina Grande!

What are saying is that the two marinas in Sorrento are located at drastically lower elevation than the entire town, so there really isn't enough space for any serious restaurant infrastructure down there. Sorrento itself is known for having a lot of restaurants to choose from, so as already stated the best idea is to take the public, pay, elevator up from the marinas to the main part of town where you have unlimited dining choices, and more reviews and newsboard comments to read about them.

I recall, ten years ago, an expensive looking restaurant along the curved, sloping road back up to town, but it wasn't really a waterfront restaurant, if that's what you're hoping for. If you leave early for your morning ferry, you could certainly walk down the stairway or along the curving road to scope out the situation before you go to the ferry ticket window.
