dinner in Milan

My wife & I are spending a night in Milan on the way back from our two weeks in Sicily. We hope to visit the duomo in the afternoon and eat casually at a Milanese restaurant that evening. Any suggestions? Marty

Marty, I dined at Le Briciole one evening (near the Duomo) on my last visit to Milan, and felt that both the food and the service were great. Cheers!

In March 2011, we ate dinner at Antica Osteria (Vai Camperio 12), which is listed in Rick's Italy book. It was about a 15-minute walk from our hotel, which was across the street from the Pinoteca Ambrosiana (which was about 5 minutes walk to the Duomo). This cozy and casual neighborhood place served excellent food (e.g., various risottos, pasta dishes, and pork chop Milanese - the original schnitzel), was reasonably priced, and had a friendly staff. We probably would have gone back there again if we had stayed longer in Milan.
