My friend had visited Italy and did a..whats called ..be my guest ...which is a dinner with an actual family ....do you know if there is anything like this other than with that particular tour group..that I could do?

Samantha Brown did something like that in (I think) Bologna in one of her TV shows. You could Google her and see what you come up with.
