Dinner in Cefalu

Hello,
I am on the RS best of Silicy tour and have two nights in Cefalu. Does anyone have any recommendations on "can't miss / must try" restaurants? We will be on our own for two dinners.

I don't remember its name, but there's an excellent restaurant in the piazza in front of the cathedral. It's the only one with a gazebo and sometimes a piano in the outdoor dining area.

OK, admittedly, this is a little different, however, last year on a an extended trip first to Italy, then to the East side of Sicily, where we toured, and walked and toured and walked........we decided to take a two day "vacation from our vacation" after Taormina and before Palermo, and stayed in a beautiful seaside hotel in Cefalu. Not in the downtown, needed a taxi to get to town. However, when we got there our jaws absolutely dropped at the view! (And this was right after we'd spent 5 days in Taormina, that's how beautiful it was) Hotel le Callette! We loved it so much we didn't go to town!!! Get a taxi to take you there for dinner. The food was wonderful, and the view, again, made us riveted to the place. Figured, we'd seen enough! Sometimes they serve dinner poolside, sometimes seaside, and sometimes upstairs in the restaurant with a pianist playing. None of it matters. I'll go there every single time I go to Sicily in the future, and that's once a year!

The beautiful hotel brochures and website pictures pale in comparison to what is seen by the human eye.

Again, not City Center, but it's a thought! You may be tired of beautiful vistas by then. But then again, Cefalu is small, and you may want to go on an adventure! Get there before dark so you can truly see it!

I would recommend Al Porticciolo's. Great seafood with a backdrop of the sea. I also had a great salad/pizza at L'Antica Corte. I ate outside in their courtyard. Your guide will also be able to give you suggestions.
