Dining in Positano

Need your recommendations!
Staying in Positano for 3 nights in April and would love to be swept away by some fabulous dinners!
Any recommendations?
Also, staying by Trevi Fountain area, any dinner recommendations nearby? We will be on the go during the day and I am confident there will be many options for lunch!
Looking for great!

Thanks in advance!

Hi: I am going to be in Positano at the ending of May and our Travel Agent recommended La Talgliata in Positano it was rated #1 on Trip Advisor. You have to make reservations in Advance.

Hope this helps.

I second the La Tagliata recommendation. It actually is in Montepertuso which sits just above Positano. You will have to take a cab or bus, or a shuttle provided by the restaurant.

I would also agree with La Tagliata . We first went there years ago when recommended by our driver Gianluca. He took us back in to the kitchen after the meal and we met "Mama." Great food, good value, incredible views, and fun experiences each time. If you've got deep pockets, the dining room at La Sirenuse - La Sponda - is wonderful. Quite romantic... and yes, quite expensive!

In Rome, I'd walk away from the Trevi a few blocks. Up the hill, I like Colline Emiliane. It's tiny, almost a hole in the wall on Via Avignonesi - an alleyway! Great food...

Heading in the other direction, toward the Pantheon... I like Da Gino. Small, and always crowded, I often go here for lunch, but you'll need a reservation, as they are close to parliament and have limited seating. I think they have some of the best pasta in town. It's even recommended by Condé Nast Traveler!

And for a little fancier place, I always eat at Armando Al Pantheon. Always consistent, always good - but closed on weekends!

None of these have outdoor seating or tourist menus - just good food!

I have been to Positano 4x and I am returning again this September. I have eaten at La Tagliatta 3x if you call and make a reservation (they will send a van for you) for a Tuesday or Saturday you are in for a treat. On those nights they have entertainment. It's like going to an Italian wedding. The food and wine is plentiful as it is one price. However, if you want a fabulous dinner I highly recommend Vincenzo's on via Pasitea as well as Mediterraneo on via Pasitea. If you would like to eat down by the beach Buca de Baca (upstairs) is wonderful also. There is also, Villa Gabrisa which is also wonderful. Hope this helps you out.
