My wife and I are staying with another couple in a Nocelle villa on the Amalfi coast for 4 days in September and will then go to Venice for 3 more days. Our dilemma is whether we should fly from Naples or take the train? After making our way up to Naples, it might be a very long day of travel on the train and might even be approaching dark when we're trying to find our way to our Venice apartment. On the other hand, seeing Italy on a relaxing train ride also may be nice.
A one hour flight would allow us an additional half day in Venice with plenty of time to get "lost" for awhile, get settled into our apartment and maybe have a relaxing supper somewhere.
Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
