I'm trying to book Frecciarissa from Roma Termini to Salerno and return. (May 12 - 21) From what I understand, you have to create a user name and password in order to purchase tickets. The site is somewhat confusing - if you can provide insight on how to best navigate the site to book this trip, I'd welcome your advice.

You have to Click the Go on without log in button.

OK thanks, i did see that. But also, i thought i saw a disclaimer that said (something like) if you don't create a user name and password you won't receive a summary of purchase. I need to be able to print out or save the itinerary.
you will get summary of purchase in the email and e-ticket email attached as a pdf

If you don't create an account, then you cannot log back in and see your history. Second - create any account using your hotel's address - no big deal.
You don't need to register. You will get an email with the pdf. It will have your itinerary and the PNR, which is the code you will be asked for of controlled on board.
No need for anything else.
Good idea to print out the ticket. I also save a copy on my phone, just in case. When printing, 8.5x11 paper will do.
