Destination Padua

Hello I am traveling to the Eagles Nest this coming Saturday and will take the 4 hour tour leaving afterward to go to Padua to tour. Does anyone know how long this trip will take? I would like to book tickets to the Scrovegni chapel. Kim

Kim,

I'm just replying to the Scrovegni Chapel part...IF they offer a 'twice-as-long' visit (40 mins instead of 20 mins), take it! It costs a little more, but you can leave whenever you're ready, and it sounds like a very long time for a small chapel but it's not! Be there plenty early for your time window (book online in advance). And bring mono- or binoculars if at all possible!!! (in case you've never visited the Chapel and are only familiar with the frescos, do some research on them and on Giotto to make your visit that much more meaningful.)

Uh, yeah - I kinda liked them. They had to drag me out of there by my hair... ;-) Same thing at the Baptistry in Florence...Enjoy!

Hopefully, someone with experience with the Eagle's Nest area will advise you on that (which was your actual question!). (OK - just did a little looking on my own)...Yikes! That's a 7-12 hour trip, depending on the time of day and whether you're leaving from somewhere like Berchtesgaden or Salzburg (I don't know exactly where your tour ends). Please go to

and enter your cities and dates.

Good luck with this!
