Destination Cinque Terre

I certainly was vague in my first post so will try this again!! I will be in Cinque Terre on a Friday and Saturday night in June and will need lodgings for 2 nights. The only place I don't want to be is Corniglia! I have been to this area before but is has been a few years now. I will be going on to France and thought this would be a good stopping point. I really like small hotels or B&B's. I just want something quiet and clean. I would rather like to keep the price for a single room in the $70.00 dollar or less range if that is possible. Any help would be most appreciated! Thought I could get some recommendations from people who have stayed in a particular place and liked it. Thanks to the person who answered my previous post and I will check out your
suggestion.

Hi Virginia, I just went to the Cinque Terre and stayed at the Francamaria Rooms in Vernazza. They have a website that shows you their location...right off the water across from the church. My family and I stayed in the 2 rooms facing the square that are clean, quaint and especially beautiful because of their location. The room with the bed set into the white brick alcove would be perfect for a single or double. If you're set on staying at $70 or less, you might not choose to stay here, but I must tell you how magical it is. The gentleman who runs the place couldn't have been nicer.
Whether you choose to stay there or not, we are fairly familiar with all 5 of the Cinque Terre towns, and Vernazza is by far our favorite. Good Luck.

Virginia, I have to agree with Roberto on the price. You may be able to find budget accommodations at €70, but not likely in June. I won't bother suggesting any accommodations in Monterosso, as they're above your limit. Cheers!

We stayed at the Marvit Hotel in Monterosso late September of 2012. The room was 90 Euro per night, and I highly recommend it. It was very clean and very quite, and I believe there are only about 10-12 rooms. Magdalena, the owner, was wonderful. She doesn't speak English, but she has a stack of translation guides at her desk and uses Google Translate. It all worked fine, and when we return to the CT, that will be our first choice. Hope this helps.

I would HIGHLY recommend Albergo Marino in Monterosso. It may be a little more expensive than you would like, but they do give you two meals (an amazing breakfast and lunch from 14:00-17:00), so that would save you some money. It was the highlight of our recent 10 day stay in Italy for accommodations....
