Deleted scavi ticket

Thank you to previous reply that is now deleted. my company has new police and deleted all old emails even if they are saved. my fingers are crossed but doubtful it can be retrieved.

Thanks yeah I'll see. Do you know how the Vatican office works for the scavi tour? do you think the guards will let me by to talk to someone at the office?

Oooops...EDIT...after writing the reply below, I stand corrected. I just looked at the Necropolis office info on line, and there apparently IS a charge. I just did not remember paying it, but I'm sure I did. That was many trips ago, and several years ago for us now.

For the benefit of the poster who suggested you contact your credit card office, to my recollection there is no charge for the Scavi Tour.....unless, of course, something has changed since we did it 8-9 years ago.
The process then was to write to request it, then wait to get approval for a spot.

jmann73, unless you leave in the next week or two, I would suggest just following the exact same process for a request, but mention the time/slot that you originally had (have), and just ask them to resend their kind email, since yours was accidentally deleted.

If all else fails, you could show up and ask the Swiss Guard to just confirm with the Scavi office that your name/time is reserved, and just explain that the email got deleted. Might work. Won't hurt to say a few rosaries (giggle).

Thanks, it's in a few weeks, I did email with my exact day and time so hopefully I'll here back. Otherwise I will just see if they can verify that I do have a reservation beforehand. ha! Anything to help!:)
