December itinerary input please

Hi all. After much thought and research I decided I just wasn't going to be up to the crowds of the more popular December Christmas market towns so I booked round trip flights to Milan for a little over 4 weeks. As of right now I'm thinking I'll spend a week in Venice, maybe 3-4 nights in Verona, a few nights in Turin and Genoa, then go to Nice for 1 1/2-2 weeks, before returning to Milan for a night or two, then fly home. I'm looking forward to doing some day trips, seeing interesting sites, a few markets and lots of pretty lights but without the crazy crowds (I know there will be some crowds of course), and moving at a slower pace.

I'll need to do laundry along the way and while I love a good view, Nice is the only spot that a view is non negotiable. I'd love thoughts on itinerary and places to stay. Thank you for any helpful ideas you can offer.

Some of the Better Value accomodations w/o view are only walking distance to the Beach. It depends on if you want a "View" place to sleep at a greater cost per night. Look for BnBs just out of town with fab views and take the bus in. I'm visualizing "To Catch a Thief" with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, also the "The Red Shoes".

Since you’re doing a round-trip ticket instead of a multi-city arrival/departure airline ticket, maybe it would make sense to start by going west and heading to Torino since Malpensa is west of Milan. I think I saw shuttle buses at Malpensa heading to Torino. Then head to Genoa, Nice and take an inexpensive flight from Nice to Venice. From Venice, head to Verona and finish at Milan.

I really like Torino, so I would give it at least three nights.
