We are planning a trip for December and intend to be in Naples December 26-28… we would like to know how cold it may be during our tours. Also, what general recommendations that you may have .
Thanks!
Yes, it will be cold, average highs are upper 50s, average lows, upper 40s.....
Salerno has a VERY NEAT Christmas light display I have been DYING to see if you are ok with traveling back to Napoli after dark...
Would you do boat to visit the islands in winter ? Would it be cold and windy? Thanks
I bet it would be ok to go on a boat to an island, but a sunny day might be nice(r), and most have indoor sections.....being on the boat will definitely be cold and windy
Hello,
I am actually going to Naples in Nov/Dec myself and planning on taking a ferry to either Ischia or Capri (leaning towards Ischia) ...as well as going to Herculaneum and Sorrento, possibly Minori...I have been to Italy in December a few times and have always had pretty good weather. Wear layers, bring an umbrella, rainproof coat, it will be cool in the early morning, but I have experienced sunny days in Dec as well. I prefer it as it's less crowded.
Enjoy your trip!
