DB bus/train ticket help from Venice

We need DB tickets from Venice to Lake Bled Slovenia (I can see the trip on the website, but the DB site will not let me buy them online)....In Florence, no travel agency will sell us these (seems like they only deal with Trenitalia). Will we have trouble buying these tickets in Venice & from where can we buy them? (I am getting a little nervous about it.)

If the bus is run by the train service, yes they can sell you a ticket. If not, you'll buy one when when you get to the bus. Since trenitalia.it doesn't show a service to Lesce Bled you may well not be able to buy the bus ticket in Italy. However, bahn.de shows several train-only one-change routings to Bled Jezero, e.g. leaving Venezia Santa Lucia at 10:04. I would take one of those in preference to the train plus bus.

Are you in Florence? If so, try the train station. If you're worried about the language, write down what you want - route, day/time, train nos. (You don't need DB tickets, it's the German national rail co. and sells tickets for Germany, Trenitalia sells tickets for Italy.)

You don't need DB tickets. That is the German rail line. First off, the DB site ONLY sells tickets for travel that begins or ends in Germany. However, the DB site is a great to use to VIEW all schedules. You should be able to buy the tickets any place in Italy -- travel agency or train station since you are buying tickets on Trenitalia. Or are you trying to book a ferry to Slovenia?

My colleagues have given excellent answers to your question with which I concur. DB is the best source for finding trains. If the train segment doesn't travel within or to or from Germany they can't sell you the tickets. The ticket needs to be from a national railway which serves the train segment you are traveling on. So you need to either deal with Trenitalia or the Slovenian railway (never dealt with them - can't even name them, sorry) or, as suggested, get thee to the Stazione.

Thank you for the info. I will try the rail station tomorrow. Both of the travel agencies I went to said that they could only sell me a train ticket to Ljubjana, and when I explained that there was a bus to Hofbraugh (sp?) and then train to Lesce Bled, they said that they could not help me. If it is a bus, can the train station in Florence still help me?
