Will be in Rome for 4 days in October. We would like to take one of the days and go to Capri. Is this doable or to hectic?
I was in Rome for around three months last winter. I took a day trip to Capri with a group called Vas Tours. They do Englis and Spanish speaking tours. I would recomend going with a tour group like this. Otherwise, you will spend all of your time buysing tickets for the, trying to find your way around the island, etc. With Vas, we were picked up at our appartment, taken to the bus, rode the bus to Naples, got on the boat to Capri, and had a nice tour of the island with meals included. It would be too hectic to try it on your own for only one day. But with a tour guide who knows what his or her way around, it is very doable.
Is it doable? Yes. But I bet you'll need all 4 days to see Rome.
