We'll be staying in Spello for a week, and we're trying to decide where to day-trip during our stay. . We've already decided to visit Gubbio and Assisi, which are both to the north, and Montefalco, Spoleto, and Todi, which are all to the south. Anyone have any further recommendations? Yes, and we're going to Orvieto in a couple days (we're staying in Pienza right now), so that's covered.
I'm also wondering what town to stop in as we travel to Spello from Pienza. I'm thinking Arezzo or Perugia, but I'm open to suggestions. Of these two, which is the better choice?

Bevagna is near and therefore a must. Many Italians who go to that area also pay a visit to BASTARDO (which means “bastard” in Italian) just to take a selfie next to the sign when you enter the town (it’s one of those towns with a funny name) but the choices are really many.
