My sister and I will be staying in Rome and want to schedule a day trip to the Amalfi Coast. Can anyone recommend a good tour operator to the AC? Gracie!

The Amalfi Coast is a little far for a day trip. You might want to consider an overnight.

Donna is correct. the Amalfi coast is about 4 hours by train with a connection in Naples.
A better day trip has been suggested many times here on the board....do a search in the box on the upper right hand corner to help you find this info.
In short, you will see Orvieto and Ostia Antica recommended over and over. They are wonderful places to explore.
If you have the time and can manage it, do book a night or two in Sorrento or other Amalfi coast town and explore from there! You will not be sorry you did.

Thank you! That's good advice. I've done Capri in a day trip from Rome before. But anything further down the Amalfi Coast is probably too much.

Too far.
Closer:
Nemi Lake, Ostia Antica, Tivoli, Appian Way, Naples and Pompeii.
Save the Amalfi for another trip.
