Any ideas for day trips from Padua pre village tour in the end of September?
Basically same day trips recommended from Venice
Including Venice itself

I hear good things about Vicenza.
dedellac, when we took this tour, we went three days early and spent the entire time in Padua, never running out of things to do. In fact, there were several things on our list that we didn't have time for.
Check out the Padova Card, available for 48 (€16) or 72 (€21) hours. It covers public transportation as well as 13 other sights, including the Scrovegni Chapel. There's so much to see in Padua!
Vicenza! We decided to stay in Vicenza and visit Padova as a day trip. We really liked Vicenza.
We spent several days in Padua and made easy, enjoyable day trips to Venice, Verona, and Vicenza. I think each was about one hour away by train, my criteria more or less for choosing day trip destinations. Safe travels
For something a little different spend a half-day in Cittadella, walking the city walls and exploring the town. Then on to Bassano del Grappa, with the Ponti degli Alpini and grappa tasting. It's about an hour on train from Padova to Cittadella, a half-hour onward to Bassano, and just over an hour back to Padova.
