We will be staying in Florence in September and would like to do a day trip out to the Tuscany area to experience some of the vineyards. Can anyone recommend a tour company that is on the smaller side that offers a full day trip including meals and downtime? Thanks!

try franco fadda or rebecca wine tours. they are partners now and are on the smaller scale and very very good.

We are doing a full day tour next week with Christian. (website below) They (him and his wife) designed our private tour to custom fit with our schedule and needs/wants. It will be a fun filled 8 hour journey around Tuscany.

I just had a chance to do a Vespa Chianti tour and it was excellent! Lots of fun to be on the Vespa, great scenery, super lunch at a famous winery (with a full tour) - really a fun day and I would recommend it highly.

Definitely check out the website for Verrazzano. We took the bus from Florence to this awesome winery; had a wonderful tour and then enjoyed a fabulous four course wine tasting lunch. It was one of the highlights of our 13 days in Italy. I've recommended it to several travelers and I think they would agree that it would be worth your time. Enjoy!!!
