Can anyone recommend a day tour from Rome to Pompei? We have gone by train before and don’t want the hassle of the train stations this time and prefer a tour that will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in Rome. I have seen several, but they didn’t have enough good recommendations for me to book. I trust this forum because it has helped me many times so would appreciate your input, thanks so much.

We used https://www.taxi-airports-transfer.com/ it was great friendly service. We also used for the transfers from and to Fiumicino airport.

I went on a Walks of Italy "Pompeii Tour with Amalfi Coast Drive" last March and highly recommend them if you want everything taken care of.
It is a long day and you start by meeting up at the Piazza della Repubblica in Rome at 7:00 AM. It is an easy journey via the Metro or a taxi from your hotel. I took the Metro and was there in no time. From there you will meet up with the rest of your group and depart in either a large van or small bus. It is a long drive but they did stop periodically for for restroom breaks. The Pompeii Tour was good and on the way back we stopped in Positano. We were there long enough to wander around and have a nice meal, then it was back to Rome. I believe we arrived back in Rome around 7-8:00 PM. The cost was 179 euros.
