Day Trip to Padua from Florence

Dear All,

We are a family of 4 with an infant and would like to do a day trip to Padua from Florence in Mid May.
We would definitely want to see Scrovegni Chapel and St.Anthonys Basilica for sure and maybe some other Sites if we have time.

Request if someone could help us how we can start and end the day at Padua...will be grateful.

Thank you

Pretty far for a day trip
Almost 2 hours on train each way

You will need tickets in advance for Scrovegni

It's doable. It's only a couple of hours away by high speed train.

Just take an early train (there are many throughout the day) so you have a full day to enjoy Padua. Timed entry may be required at some sites, like Scrovegni chapel.

Cappella degli Scrovegni, the Basilica of St. Anthony, Piazza dei Signori, Palazzo della Ragione, Prato della Valle, are the top sights. You can cover them all in a day.
