Going to Sorrento in Late April for our Honeymoon. We've booked four days in Sorrento. I wanted to see if it's possible to combine a day trip to Naples and Pompeii into one day to save time for extra rest and relaxation in Sorrento.

How much of Naples do you want to see? To get to Pompeii and have time to see it, you could easily take a full day as Pompeii ruins are an entire city.
Oh, and how are you traveling? Train, or rental car, or...?

You can easily do both. Take the Circumvesuviana commuter train from Sorrento to Naples. Pompeii is one of the stops, so you can go there before or after Naples. If you're going to the Archeological Museum in Naples, I'd do Pompeii on the way back to Sorrento.

Theoretically it is possible to do both in one day. But it would be too much hassle and I would not do it. One day by Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. Other day by boat to Naples. You can also do it by CV train but I prefer boat. The train is hot, usually crowded and it is workplace for pickpockets.
