I'm a flight attendant and have gotten lots of info. from flying partner about what to see & do in Rome but my friend coming with me wants to take a day trip down to Naples. I've looked at the train skd. and it appears that we shouldn't have a problem getting a train there & back but since I've never been to Rome I was wondering if this is possible and what would be the best things to see? Thanks for the help!!
if your friend who wants to go to Naples doesn't already have an idea of the things she/he is interested in seeing or doing, then scratch Naples from the list. Unless your idea of a good time is being a free travel-agent...
Naples is the last place in Italy I would spend a day in (the only redeeming feature was the magnificent museum).
Thanks Mike and Judy, I appreciate the input. My friend is actually wanting to go on to Sorrento or Capri from Naples but I don't know what there is to see/ do there and I'm afraid we're trying to squeeze too much into the short time we have. We thought about leaving a day eariler than originally planned but since we have to fly stand-by, the flts. don't look as good so that means flying into Munich and hopefully catch another stand-by flt. down to Naples and a boat to Sorrento/ Capri. I think it's just going to be too much????
