Hoping someone can share a recent experience using Libery Lines hydrofoil or another method of transport to visit Lipari island as a day trip in the Aeolian Islands off of Sicily. We will be staying in Randazzo during the 3rd week of October on the north side of Etna. Google maps tells me is an hour and a half drive from Milazzo (?). Is there parking at the Milazzo port? Is this a reasonable plan? Was hoping not to buy tickets in advance so I can watch the weather. Are tickets likely to sell out on the weekend? I'm having difficulty researching specific information, my RS GB doesn't have much and I appreciate any input! GRAZIE!!

We took the bus from the train station to the ferry depot in Milazzo, so I can’t really speak with any authority on the parking situation. I think Google Street view will give you a pretty good idea.. . We walked up and purchased tickets for the next departure. we loved Lipari. I would encourage you to budget more time there.
