Cruise boat docks in Sorrento. Options to visit Capri and Sorrent in one day

Sorrento and Capri both deserve to be visited, however, I probably would suggest Capri. Take the funicular up to the main town from the docks. Walk away feom the town square and get into the pedestrian lanes, views of the sea and amazing cliffs.

I don't really understand your question?
If you are in Sorrento, you can take a ferry to Capri. Sorrento is not on an island so needs no boat: Capri needs to be reached by boat. Where are you trying to do this from? Naples? Rome?
