Colle is nice and quaint. It's worth visiting for a couple hours at least. You'll enjoy it. I go there often to visit a high school and college friend who married a Colligiana woman (also a friend studying with us at the University of Florence) and moved there from the city (and said he would never move back to Florence). Other places nearby are: San Gimignano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, Siena, Certaldo, and many others. I don't think there is a place more central to everything in Tuscany than Colle.
