Day Trip from Naples- Ischia or Procida?

My wife and I will be in Naples for 4 days in August (after 4 in Copenhagen and 4 in Nice!)
She is a teacher with August off so we routinely travel in Europe in the mid to late August. We do not mind the crowds or the heat. We live in Manhattan with its brutal Summer heat and year round crowds!

Anyway, its our first time in Naples and we are excited to explore the city. But we want to do at least one day trip. We have been to Capri before, and we are looking at Ischia and Procida, both a short ferry ride away.

Which would be better for us? We want to swim, eat sea food and explore small villages. No major hiking or sports activities.
Thanks in advance for insight into these two islands!

We are traveling south from Rome in September. Will spend a night in Naples. Plenty to see there in one day. We will then go to Pompeii and on to Sorrento. We will probably go to Capri and perhaps to Ischia. Then there is the Amalfi coast. Seems like more than a day trip, or a couple of day trips.

We stayed on Ischia for 6 nights one year ago mid April and loved it. While it was too cold for beach swimming, the thermal pools are great. We day tripped to Procida and enjoyed it as well. I’d say you can’t go wrong for a day on either island.
