My husband and I will be in Florence Sept. 7,8 & 9. We are looking for a day tour to the Tuscan Hillside. Does anyone have a good and not expensive guide service to recommend? We would like to see several towns as well as sample some wine and do a little shopping. I would love one that would allow you to add on to a group tour.
Thanks, I'll check it out too.
somebody here recommended www.sienaholiday.com
I went there and they have half day mini bus tours for 35 Euros to villages and wine tasting. I plan on checking out reviews on Trip Advisor or venere.com to see how the customer satisfaction results are though.
Just came back from Italy. And I say to just go on your own. You get to discover more and its better off on your own then stuck with a tour. Go to the town of Lucca. Its about an hour north of Florence. And its wonderful. Very little tourists. You can rent bicycles and run around the city and sit in nice quiet cafe's in shaded squares. And they have excellet local wine.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I have booked a tour with accidental tourist. It really suits our needs and doesn't require us to drive.
I'd love to hear more about your recent trip though.
