I'm travelling in March & have very limited time & I want to see as many places as I could, is this day trip even possible? Is the train the best way to do it?

You can do 4 of the 5 towns the CT in one day. In fact, I have a posting that describes how to do it. However, adding in Pisa makes it very difficult. Here's the scoop. The leaning tower is a good 30 minute walk from the train station and 30 minutes back. You can take a taxi to and from and seriously cut this time. There is also a bus but I'm not sure which one maks the run. The taxi is faster. It's hard to pass up the tower when we've known about it from childhood. If you really want to see the leaning tower, you will cut down what you can see in the CT. If this is Ok with you, it will be a long day but doable. Please delete your other two duplicate postings.
