Looking for a day trip (pick up and drop
Off in Florence) to experience wine tasting and lunch. Multigenerational family of 6 foodie adults. Would love Brunello tastings and must be LGBTQ+ friendly. Thanks for the help!
Brunello is made in Montalcino, in the Val D’Orcia, a bit far from Florence (about 2 hour drive). You can search tours in that area, like the one below.

Not sure what LGBTQ friendly would mean. Discrimination based on sexual orientation is not permitted in Italy and no winery will deny you service because of that. The only legitimate reason for denying service to a customer at a winery is in case of manifest drunkenness, so drink in moderation and nobody will care about anything else. Florence has historically been the gay tolerant capital of Italy, like SF in America, so you are in friendly territory.
Coral Sisk, aka Curious Appetite, does group and custom tours centered around food and wine.

do your research what you really want & fits your schedule. LGBTQ+ friendly meaning what? nobody asked us on any tours traveling with our gays friends. (if it's an issue, i would email them) we had a great time with lots of laughs. good luck & have fun
happy new year & aloha
If you end up going to Montalcino on your own, I recommend La Sosta and ask for Flavio. He is very knowledgable and charismatic, you will enjoy your tasting time.
We've taken many wine tours in Italy and all were very enjoyable but some were more specialized with higher quality wines and experiences than others. Years back we took an excellent tour through Italyandwine.net that might have a tour that interests you. Their tours are higher end and run by sommeliers. With a group your size, I’m sure you could arrange a private tour to your specifications. Enjoy!
