Day tours from Florence

Hello,

Are there any day tours that you can recommend while I am visiting Florence? Ideally, I'd like to go to Venice, Pisa and perhaps some eating/wine tasting tours. There appear to be many, but would like some recommendations from folks who have done them. Or any good tour companies to seek out.

Thank you

Florence to Venice by fast train is at least 2.25 hrs each way. Add in time to get to/from train stations at each end and you will spend at least 5 hrs of your day on on travel. At best your time in Venice will exceed your travel time by only a narrow margin.

Depending on what else you are doing on your trip, that may or may not be a good choice.

Siena’s great. Lucca and Pisa can be seen during another daytrip.

As stated Siena is the classic day trip, Lucca and/or Pisa is nice and Bologna is only 30 minutes by fast train is the food capital of Italy so that could a solid choice as well. All of these locations are easily reachable by train so if you want a guided tour of some kind I would go by train and arrange for a food tour in Bologna or whichever location most interests you.

There a many good choices - enjoy,
