Day in ancient rome

I plan to visit Ancient rome on a wednesday in May. I want to visit: Colosseum, roman forum, palatine hill and Pantheon. My Colosseum underground tour isn't until 12pm and I will have to be there by 1145pm. So i have the morning free. Which do you recommend of those on the list I can do before and after my underground tour without being rushed? Thanks!

Just making sure the Roma pass covers the colosseum/palatine hill/forum all together as one sight?
so if in the morning I start off at the forum followed by colosseum and then palatine hill, i've only used up one of my first free sight correct? the next morning I plan to visit borghese gallery then that will count as my second sight right? thanks!

Yes, RF, PH and Col are considered a single entry as far as the Roma Pass is concerned.

You could do any of the three but I suggest sticking to the forum or palatine hill. They are both adjacent to the Colosseum and you should be able to amble through one or the other in time to get to your tour.

The Pantheon is a quick hit so swing by there. Or explore the area around the Colosseum which includes the forum and the palatine hill.

A Roma Pass allows unlimited bus, local train, and Metro use for 3 consecutive days from the moment of first use on either transport or museum. It expires at midnight of day 3 regardless of what time it started on day 1. The museum phase of the Pass allows admission to the first 2 covered sites for no admission charge (reservations if required must still be made and paid for) and then unlimited numbers of admissions at the "discounted" price for the remainder of the 3 day period running concurrently with the transport phase. So you only get 2 "free" admissions and they are the first 2 places you present the card at. The RFID chip registers each entry and you can't repeat. All the terms and conditions, list of covered properties and very informative FAQs are at http://www.romapass.it/?l=en

Lynn,
Your last few questions are pretty precise and might be answered on the Roma Pass website: http://www.romapass.it/?l=en We were in Rome in September and had all our Roma Pass questions answered on that site. Since you have a specific time for the underground tour, my suggestion would be to arrive in the morning - the earlier the better. Visit the RF and PH hill first, and then enter the Col. for your tour. When you're done, grab some lunch and head up to the Pantheon. All the best to you Boston folk. We were in your town last Thursday to see a band play at the Sinclair near Harvard Sq. I do love your city.

It is true that the Pantheon is a quick walk around but it could possibly be off limits to visitors if there is a service going on. On a trip to Rome a few years ago it was on our third attempt that we managed to get into the Pantheon. It is an amazing place so I hope you can see it. We revisit it on every trip to Rome.

the next morning I plan to visit borghese gallery then that will count as my second sight right? Yes, as long as you haven't used the pass to enter anywhere else after the colosseum/forum/palatine and before the Borghese. You still need to have made prior reservations for the Borghese, and you need to be there half an hour ahead to claim your reservation or it may be given away.
