Anyone know about this town, how far it is to Zurich. Is there train service to this area? Can you rent a car?

According to the Swiss Rail web site (www.sbb.ch/en) its a 2.5 hour journey with one change in Landquart. You don't need a car in Switzerland, it has one of the best public transit system in the world. The Swiss Pass covers all public transport systems, entry to most museums and deep discounts on the high-mountain train/cable cars. For details head over to the "railpasses" section of this website.
