Hello,
Does anyone have experience taking the Dark Rome Crypts and Catacombs tour? It is offered on the day we could do it. (Other vendors have fewer available dates.) I am thinking our teenage daughters would really enjoy this sort of tour with an guide that provides a good deal information and background. I would love to hear from anyone that has done this tour.

I went on a very similar tour with Walks of Italy In October 2013, and it was very good. Given that the tour included a private bus from site to site, I think it would have been much more time-consuming and difficult to visit the same sites independently. I consider the three sites to be "second tier" for most people, compared to top tier Vatican, Colosseum, Borghese, Parthenon, major piazzas, etc. Given all the skeletons in the Cappuchin Crypts, I think this might appeal more to teenage boys than girls, but different strokes for different folks, and I'm probably just being an ole sexist. I have also gone on other Dark Rome tours, and those were very good too.
