We are in the early planning stages of a mid-September/October trip. We've been to Italy a few times now and were considering a tour of the Alsace region with a eye towards cycling on the Route du Vin. But the more we think, the more Italy draws us back. This all got me wondering if there are any hiking/cycling trails in the Piedmont.
Alba was a great spot for a driving tour of the area. Does anyone know if it would lend itself to biking between villages? My first choice would be to take in Barbaresco and Neive. I'd prefer to stay off roads as much as possible. Can anyone tell me if this is doable?
