I will be flying from Rome to Anchorage with layover in Dublin and Seattle. The trip is booked through one airline (AK air website) and is Aer Lingus from Rome to Seattle (via Dublin) and Alaska Air from Seattle to Anchorage. I am assuming luggage will be checked all the way through. I am wondering if I will have to go through customs in Dublin (non-Schengen) and/orSeattle, and if so, do I have to retrieve my suitcase in order to go through customs? Thank you in advance!
US Customs and Immigration will occur in Dublin. When you land in SEA it will be as if you arrived from a US airport.

Not sure how checked bags are handled at DUB.
I have flown Aer Lingus many times from Boston to Europe, with a layover in Dublin. One the return flight, you will go through US immigration/passport control (AND TSA security) in Dublin. Your bags will be checked through to your final destination.
Thank you so much for your help!
