Hello,
I am wondering if it's a good idea trying to get Italian custom-made shoes?
Is there enough time if we stay in Rome for 4 nights and how expensive is it compared to one made in England?

We have no personal experience with that process, but I somewhat doubt that 4 nights will be enough time. I never have much time for serious shopping, since I'm too busy sightseeing.

Are you asking about men's or women's shoes? If women's, four days would be enough time, if you've got the budget for it. Giadda DeLaurentiis recently featured this place on her show: Dal Co'

IMHO, it is a very bad idea to rush any custom made item.
Ideally, you should wear the shoes for at least two weeks. Then, if the shoes need adjustments, you could return to the maker.
Most people can wear off the shelf shoes. Medically, the only time custom shoes are prescribed is when there is some foot deformity that needs to be accommodated.
