curreri viaggi bus reliability

Does anyone have recent experience with this bus line? We are ending up our Italy travel spending our last night in Sorrento, and are planning to take the curreri viaggi bus (currently their schedule shows a 6:30 am departure) back to Naples. Our flight out is scheduled for 11:15 AM. Is it wise to try to save the difference between this bus which costs 10 euro and a private driver which i think is 150 euro. Clearly, the most important thing is not missing our flight. Previous comments on this RS site are very old, so it makes me wonder if anyone is using this bus. Thanks so much!

No experience, but could you spend your last night in Naples instead? It is a great city, and it will be less stressful and less expensive to get to the airport than travelling from Sorrento.
If you are already staying in Naples in the trip, then nevermind.

We have used the Curreri Viaggi bus between Naples Airport and Sorrento. Very reliable as far as departing on time, but whether you take the bus or hire a private driver, traffic can impact your arrival time. We left the airport on the 1 PM bus once, but it was a Friday afternoon on a national holiday, and traffic crawled on the highway, took more than twice as long as scheduled to get to Sorrento - good thing we weren't going in the opposite direction to catch a flight..

Where does the departing flight land? This determines if you should follow the 2 hr domestic flight ( intra-Schengen) or the international 3hr prior to flight time recommendation.

Not knowing how far the bus stop is from where you are staying, but suspect you would have to be up no later than 5.

You may want to give consideration to spending your last night in Naples.

This is from 2017, but we took an 8:30 Curreri Viaggi bus out of Sorrento to Naples Capodochino airport, for a 12:30 Lufthansa flight to Munich, then Chicago. With no traffic, it's supposed to take no more than 75 minutes. Caught a traffic jam at Castelammare di Stabia, but that only held us up for about 20 minutes, although that was a bit stressful. Got to the airport door at 10:30 and made the flight no problem. The airport is quite chaotic but small--not like Fiumicino--and manageable.

The real difference is if you end up not making it to the airport on time and have to buy new tickets to go back to the States. Then 150€ would be looking cheap in comparison.

I don't know how many are in your party, or how much a one-way walkup ticket from Naples to wherever you are going is. But I would be factoring those into my thinking.
