Hi
Headed to Venice December 21st.
I'm hoping some of you wonderful travelers may have updates on the flooding conditions.
Thank you
when it is daylight there (it's night right now), look for yourself at this website:

Nobody has updates because there was no flooding in Venice. It was a very high tide, and I bet you know what tides do after a couple of hours.
It's called the floating city for a reason. Venetians keep calm, clean the mess at the ground floor and go on with their lives... They know that the moon and the southern winds will bring another high tide within the next 3 years.

I was once there in late January, and they had elevated wooden sidewalks on St. Marks Square. It was cold, blustery and miserable.
