We are taking a ferry either from Positano or Amalfi to Capril island.
We will be driving our car rental from Praiano to one of these locations and are wondering what to expect for parking costs at these ferry docks?

No parking near the dock in Positano, you have to walk down from whichever parking lot you park. Amalfi has a lot right next to the harbor. On average expect to pay at least €3/hr, but that assumes you'll even find a spot. Parking spaces are very limited and street parking (where available) is often reserved to residents. Parking is the biggest issue in that area, not so much the driving. If your hotel in Praiano has parking, I would even consider leaving the car there and take the bus to Positano.
