Leaving for Italy in three weeks. Will be driving from Verona train station to Stelvio Pass (bucket list item) then a week in Dolomites. Anyone in the region currently or recently who can pass along the gas price per liter? Already booked our rental car (gas with manual tranny). Grazie!
About 1.90-2.00€ or a few cents less. Google Maps gives gas prices these days, FYI!
I hope you've got practice with the manual transmission for Stelvio pass 😅. Breathtaking drive.
About 1.90-2.00€ or a few cents less.
Works out to ~ $7.50- 8.00 per gallon
Hope you have had experience with a manual on real hills/mountains. Other than the sky being blue ( on a clear day) Texas and the Dolomites have nothing in common especially road-wise.
Happy travels

I'm sure you know this, but just to be clear, Europe prices are per liter. That works out to be about $8.00 per gallon. Budget appropriately.
Thanks everyone. Not far from what we paid in Sicily, about 1.7 Euro per liter, last September. Drove up Mt. Etna on that trip. I’m very comfortable with manual trans since learning on a VW beetle when I was 15 and owned quite a few manuals since then.
Eur 1.90/liter yesterday in Merano for Diesel (3 cents more for gasoline). These are Self-Serve prices. Add about 10-15 cents per liter if you want Full Serve.
Try to get a diesel car. More torque for the steep uphill.
Good news is that gas prices in Italy have just started going down.
