Currari Viaggi -- Naples Airport to Sorrento

I am planning to buy tickets for this bus online for our family of 4. I'm looking at a bus that departs 2.5 hours after our arrival time, but am a little nervous about locking into a specific bus time. Does any one know if there is any flexibility if we are late (or even early) to get on another bus? I think it is an option to just walk-on (not purchasing online in advance), but then we risk the bus being full -- we are going later this month in peak season. I don't want to take that chance. Thank you.

Rather than be stuck with a 2.5 hour wait, I'd probably just show up and buy a ticket on the next Bus. If that one is full, there will be another along in a short time. You could be lucky and get seats on the next Bus, which will get you to Sorrento a bit quicker. There's no way I'd want to be stuck sitting in an airport for 2.5 hours after a long international flight (unless of course there was no other option).

I am in Ken's camp. Just buy the tickets when ready to roll. Assume your flight to Naples will be a connecting flight so that makes it even less dependable than an international flight. In response to your other train question, you need to relax a little and go with the flow. Worse case is you may have to wait a couple of hours.

In April we arrived in Naples. The bus to Sorrento was parked right outside the terminal. I think we bought tickets from the driver. He loaded our bags and we boarded the bus and relaxed for about 20 minutes till the bus left. The bus went to the train station in Sorrento. It was very easy but it was April not peak season.

Thank you. The reason for the 2.5 hour allowance is we will be arriving on an international flight and I wanted to make sure we had enough time to get through customs/immigration and whatnot (I was not intending to be "sitting around" anywhere close to the full 2.5 hours). If there was still extra time, I figured we could find lunch in the airport. Based on the advice, I'm leaning toward just taking the chance and purchasing on site.

Yes Frank, my husband tells me to just go with the flow too!
