Is anyone there this week and if so can you provide a trail update? I will be there next week and see on the website the trails will open June 15. I am hoping they might have opened earlier??

Charles, The No. 2 trail from Monterosso to Vernazza is currently OPEN, and according to the "official" website the Vernazza to Corniglia section is now also OPEN. You'll be able to hike those two for sure. As you noted, the other segment from Corniglia to Manarola is scheduled to open June 15. There's no way to predict whether that will open early. The famous Via dell'Amore will apparently NOT BE RE-OPENING until 2014, so you'll have to use the train for the trip from Manarola to Riomaggiore (not a big deal as the trip only takes about four minutes). Just returned from the CT- the #2 trail from Vernazza to Monterosso is OPEN- lots of people making use of it as well- if you have not hiked it before- it is incredible but there are places where it is only wide enough for one person. The #2 from Manarola to Corniglia was still closed-it would have been wonderful if it had been open.. so as it turned out we hiked the 6 out of Manarola which goes up high with an amazing Panoramic view and keeps going to Volastra and then down into Corniglia- Take water or any snacks.. nothing was open when we got to Volastra.. not even a little shop to pick up a drink- The trails though were truly a memorable experience !! A definite MUST DO!!
