Down to the last couple of weeks before our first trip to the boot! After Rome and Florence, we will be in the CT for 2 1/2 days. Upon arriving in Monterosso, are we able to buy the trail passes at the train station? Also, am I correct that there is a train pass that can be purchased for travel between the towns, or will we simply pay as we go? Last question (for the moment) I can get a much cheaper advance train ticket from La Spezia Centrale to Roma Termini for our departure if I book it now. If I book that route, is it just a matter of getting a ticket and hopping on the regional train in Monterosso and arriving in La Spezia with enough transfer time? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can just buy the Mont / La Spez ticket there. Enjoy your trip!
