ct,rome tuscany,venice

I am taking my son to italy for a graduation present. We have two weeks beginning around may20. Where do you recommend flying into? we want to hike in the dolomites, see rome, venice, the ct,and tuscany... is this doable ? any suggestions as to how to go about this?

If you can, book an open jaw ticket - flying into Venice and out of Rome (or vice versa). Your two weeks will go quickly so avoid backtracking to your point of origin if you can.

THANKS. I HAVE NEVER BOOKED AN OPEN JAW TICKET BEFORE. CAN THIS BE DONE VIA THE INTERNET OR DO YOU SUGGEST A TRAVEL AGENT?

All major airlines will do open jaw tickets for you. Note that it may cost more than some really great bargain round trip tickets that you might be able to get. Check the prices carefully.

I suggest flying into Rome and out of Venice or, into Venice and out of Rome. The Cinque Terre is the most out of the way location on your mostly North/South itinerary. It's all doable in 14 days.
