I'm finishing out few final details before leaving June 9. While my wife & I are in the Cinque Terre, I thought we'd take a 1-hour train ride to Santa Margherita and then walk, bus, boat or bike to Portofino. We can do this on Sunday (Father's Day) or Monday. Will there be any difference? Rick's guidebook doesn't mention it, but the Adventure Guide to the Italian Riveria says that local women sell hand-embroidered towels & infant booties out on the street. I want to make sure we get to sample this bit of local culture. If anyone has experience in this, I will be most appreciative.

I don't know how are the bus, boat schedules on Sunday in that area. I was staying in a hotel near the main bus station in Sinea. A few weeks ago. In the week days, lot of bus around. But on Sunday, it is all empty. Nobody able to take a day trip on Sunday. Public transportation or private tour.
